Memorandum on the Revolutionary outbreak in Canton on

April 27th, 1911.

Revolutionary scares have been so epidemic in

Canton of late that when the actual outbreak occurred

on the 27th April, the authorities in the city were

taken by surprise.

According to Chinese official information, at

six o'clock on Thursday afternoon about 40 men succeeded

in passing into the Governor General's Yamen and made
